2012 Fantasy Baseball Sleepers: Hiroki Kuroda

Sleeper Report: Bargains

Hiroki Kuroda – SP Yankees
After four very good years in Los Angeles, Kuroda has moved to New York where his excellent ERA and WHIP should translate into wins.

The veteran Japanese pitcher signed a deal for one year and $10 million, so Kuroda will be a free agent again next year giving the 35-year-old extra incentive to be on the top of his game.

Kuroda pitched very well in his four seasons with the Dodgers posting a 3.45 ERA and recording 523 strikeouts in 699 innings.  He was definitelt unluck with the Dodgers going 41-46 over the four seasons.

At age 36, Kuroda is at the tail end of his career, but he still has the stuff to compete in the major leagues and should prove to be a fantasy draft-day bargain in 2012.
