Coming off he best year since 2005, the fantasy community had some expectations for KC outfielder, Jeff Francoeur. Before this week, he’s been disappointing. But, this week happened and now he’s looking to be fantasy relevant again.
Last year, Francoeur but up some very nice numbers, a .285 AVG, 20 HRs, 87 RBIs, and had 22 SB. This guy didn’t hurt you in any category.
This year, Francoeur has been off to a slow start. Hitting only 1 HR, having his average recently as low as .235, and 0 SBs. Nothing good there. However, after a the last few games, Francour now has 4 HRs, .271 AVG, and his first SB. Since Monday (5/20), Francoeur has been a monster. He has hits in each game, including a 4 for 4 and a 3 for 4, he has 3 HRs, and 5 RBIs.
Francoeur should be able to duplicate last year’s numbers. After his slumping start, he’s making up for lost time. With any consistency, he’s ownable in shallow and medium leagues. If he comes close to last year’s numbers, he’s borderline ownable in shallow leagues, especially roto.
