2012 Fantasy Baseball Sleepers: David Freese

Sleeper Report: Bargains

David Freese – 3B- Cardinals

We all saw Freese’s true potential in the 2011 playoffs when he batted .397 and smashed 5 home runs with 21 RBI’s in an 18 game span and wound up with the World Series MVP.

This was after missing much of the season with an injury and thus finishing with just regular season 333 at bats. He did manage solid numbers pounding 10 home runs and 55 RBI’s while batting .297.

Because of his injury and lack of big stats, Freese is likely to fall to somewhere around the 10th round, but his value is much greater. He should be good for around a .295 average and 22-26 home runs and he could reach triple-digits in RBI’s even with the loss of Albert Pujols.
