The former Japanese All-Star was pitching great in the
bullpen and pitched 6 shutout innings against the Yankees
in his first MLB start. The lefty has 38 K's in 32 innings,
so he could give you nice value if he sticks as a starter.
He is 3-3 with a 3.28 ERA and is playing in the best pitchers
park and the Padres are winning. Latos has a consistent
95 MPH fastball and a great slider. At 22 there will be
some bumps in the road, but Latos looks like the real deal.
He is pitching excellent for a poor team. Nevertheless
her is 2-1 with a 1.71 ERA. If the Mariners can start to
hit and give him run support, he may be a very good fantasy
pitcher.
