He remained on the team and veteran Eugenio Velez was
optioned to Triple-A Fresno. This is a good sign. Downs
is batting .342 with one home run with 38 at bats. He has
15-15 potential.
Eric Young

The 5-9 speed-merchant can be a dangerous player if he
can start and hit for average in the explosive Colorado
offense. He is just 24, yet he already has 309 career minor
league stolen bases with 2,219 at bats and posting a .291
batting average.
Mike Aviles
- Royals
Aviles was projected to be a fantasy breakout in 2009
but a season-ending injury put an end to any hopes of that.
He played well in in 2010 Spring Training batting .471,
but was set down to the minors to get a little more work
and it has seemed to pay off for him. Aviles batted .325
with 10 home runs and 8 stolen bases with 419 at bats as
a rookie in 2008. He has 15-20 home run and 15-20 stolen
base potential.
