In AA Akron he batted .328 with 8 home runs, 3 triples,
23 doubles and 23 stolen bases with 368 at bats. after his
call-up he batted .283 with 3 home runs with the Indians.
He is penciled in as the starter in an excellent Indian
line-up.
Alexei Ramírez
- White Sox
The 26-yar-old Cuban All Star batted .338 average and
20 home runs in 2007 and has been penciled in as the Sox
starting second basemen, though he may also compete in the
outfield.
Yunel Escobar
- Braves
He can play 2B, SS & 3B, though he should start at
SS. He batted .326 with 5 home runs, 25 doubles & 5
stolen bases in 2007 with 319 at bats. Not too exciting,
but at 25 he has potential to improve and makes a great
back-up to put on your bench.
Erick Aybar
- Angels
He makes a nice late-pick for a back-up because he qualifies
as a second basemen and a shortstop. In 2006 AAA Salt Lake,
Aybar batted .283 with 6 home runs, 3 triples, 20 doubles
and 32 stolen bases and has stolen as many as 51 bases in
the minors. He only batted .237 with 4 stolen bases with
193 at bats as a rookie in '07, but he is penciled in as
the starting shortstop.
