He batted .389 and hit 3 home runs with just 54 at bats
in 2007 after the call-up from AAA where he smashed 29 home
runs.
Chris Snyder
- Arizona
He will start in 2008 after taking over midway in 2007
by batting .252 and hitting 13 home runs with 352 at bats.
He is not a newby at 27 and played 2 seasons up & down
with the D'Backs & AAA. Bottom line is he is a 20 HR
catcher who can be drafted very late.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia
- Rangers
He was traded to the Rangers and though he isn't penciled
in at a starter yet, he will play at first base, catcher
and maybe some DH. He is just 22 and in his 2 call-ups he
has amassed 308 at bats while hitting .266 with 11 home
runs. If he does take the starting first base job, you have
a everday starting catcher. He is worth a late-round risk.
